Today, we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Bowen.
Hi Victoria, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My family has always loved food – we always went out to eat growing up and would travel to neighboring towns to try new places. Eventually, we’d base our travels stateside and international, surrounding food and always express interest in learning about cultural delicacies and traditions.
When I moved to Charleston to create my food, Instagram made sense! It allows me to connect with the community and tourism and stay updated on the happenings in town!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’d say I’ve had a fun time doing it all, the hardest times are when I found myself in a creative rut or lack boundaries around my already busy schedule. Then I take a step back and remove some of the pressure to reset!
Thanks. What else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I have created a food-centric Instagram based around Charleston businesses and restaurants.
I love to highlight other local businesses and services and incorporate the wellness space to tie in my mental health background.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
@chowingdowncharleston, @leetle_leaah, and @emerson.harmon.
Each of these ladies have been such lights in my journey. They have all encouraged me, offered me support, and served as my gracious plus ones & vice versa!
