Rising Stars: Meet Rebekah Zoellner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebekah Zoellner.

Hi Rebekah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I have been an athlete all my life and after I graduated, volleyball and basketball weren’t something I wanted to do anymore. I was told by some friends of mine to try and get into modeling.

I got in touch with an agency, I was told about, and that boosted my career. Now, I’ve been with two agencies, I’m in 10+ magazines and a freelance model. Still perfecting my craft and seeing where it will take me.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The road has never been smooth. I’ve sent it to multiple agencies but I haven’t heard back. I’ve worked with photographers who weren’t so pleasant to work with.

I’ve also stopped modeling for periods of time, because of comments and other personal reasons. It has been a long and bumpy road but it’s all lessons learned and that’s what helps me become a better model and person.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a model. I mostly specialize in editorial and fashion modeling.

However, I do other modeling as well such as swimwear, lingerie, and fitness. I would say I’m most proud of how confident I’ve gotten since I started this journey.

My personality really sets me apart from others and I would also say my drive. I am determined to be the best person or model I can be. Always trying to improve.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Instagram, tiktok, Facebook, Twitter. Podcast from Andrea Ventura. I mostly just follow other models on Instagram and learn from them. Tiktok is another good app to help learn to pose and move with the camera quickly.
