Rising Stars: Meet Michael Mooney

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Mooney. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
During my undergraduate studies in Religion at Liberty University, I began a two-year personal study into really understanding what the Bible says about marriage, divorce, and remarriage. This topic is the source of much confusion in the church. The conclusion in some churches is so extreme that they do not permit members to have God’s blessing if they marry again after a divorce. Naturally, this seems unreasonable. After seeking for God to show me the truth of his message in scripture for two years, I had a breakthrough. Suddenly, the passages some find confusion began to make all the sense in the world. From that moment, I felt God calling me to begin making myself available to perform marriages for believers of the Christian faith. In this way, I can help them honor God with their marriages, and to clear any misunderstandings about what God’s word teaches regarding the subject. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been very smooth.  More often than not, both the couples and I agree that God sent us to each other.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in Christian ceremonies for blended families with traditional values. 

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Pleasing God with all that I do matters most to me. He is the source of my successes, the strength on my journey, and the love that burns in my heart for people to know his love.
