Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Gottesman.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I was inspired to launch Riley Versa on a trip to Miami when I packed a brightly printed clutch for the weekend. I didn’t realize until I arrived that it clashed with everything else I had packed. I wished I had a statement and neutral option, but I couldn’t have fit two handbags in my already exploding suitcase. I had an “a-ha” moment, and Riley Versa was born: one bag with interchangeable magnetic covers. I realized I probably wasn’t the only woman who would appreciate owning a single bag capable of multiple looks and decided I needed to create it. From there, the brand expanded into a full range of products!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There are so many components involved in running a brand; I think the most challenging part is figuring out what to prioritize each day and keeping an eye on the big picture while also focusing on the day-to-day of operating a business.

Riley Versa is a handbag and accessories company made for the modern, on-the-go woman. The brand focuses on a woman’s versa-tile needs through a line of interchangeable bag covers, pouches, and straps. We’re always looking to create new products that meet women’s desire for luxurious, quality products that combine style and convenience.
