Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt McClain.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Growing up, I admired my grandfather. He was a tree farmer and woodworker, and he also built treehouses. My family has always had a great passion for the outdoors. When my children were young I built them a treehouse in our backyard. People became interested from there treehugger was born! My love for trees, woodworking, the outdoors, and art is all packed into my business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has never been smooth, creating a business isn’t easy. A side hustle became a full-time job. Thanks to the many people who allowed us to use our creativity to build them furniture, and upfit spaces and bring their dreams and visions to life. Before we knew it the team was up and running at full speed.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We work with a variety of materials and create environments for your home business and beyond. We love using reclaimed and salvaged materials.
I am a collector of all things; my wife would say too many.
I enjoy unique projects.
Any opportunity to branch out excites us.
Art is my form of expression; being able to make a hobby into a prosperous business is a dream come true; art never eternal. There are so many branches of creativity to tap into.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Right now, we are looking to grow our team. With so many opportunities on the horizon, we need passionate people to join us, people willing to learn, branch out and create!
