Hi John, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
BrickTree Brewing Co. represents North Carolina’s independent, enterprising spirit through an authentic, symbiotic partnership between our brewery and the fabric within the community of Lincolnton, NC. Our southeastern lifestyle and love for great quality beers for every occasion lead us to the design, development, and consistent quality that we strive for with our brand. At BrickTree Brewing Co., we are inspired by more than just great-tasting beers. We enjoy taking a collaborative approach toward our other passions in life, including spending time with family, music, adventure sports, art, and community events. It’s Eureka! Co-Founders John Brinsfield and Fritz Steckler share a passion for craft beer by using 100% natural ingredients and bringing their passion to the fine citizens of Lincoln County and beyond. Located in the historic Eureka Cotton Mill in the downtown area of Lincolnton, NC, the brewery features a lineup of high-quality flagship craft beers, seasonal rotations, specialties, and the occasional one-off. Each is constructed to bring out bold flavors and aromas of high-quality ingredients.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Opening a small business is always challenging and comes with many challenges, especially in an industry with so many regulations. We had some concerns during Covid, but we strictly followed all the rules and regulations to provide a clean and safe environment and beer to-go options. Then came increased pricing on all our raw materials and supplies. We were constantly looking at ways to cut costs without increasing prices for our customers and still do so today.

We brew classic-style beers and strive for perfection in every batch. The goal is for the customer to enjoy the product, spread the word and make BrickTree Brewing Co. a household name.
What matters most to you? Why?
Quality Control, we never want to release a sub-par product. Customer Service, so every customer has a great experience.
