Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Arenas.

Daniela Arenas

Hi Daniela, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My love for art was cultivated at an early age while growing up in Bogota, Colombia, and further developed when I moved to the United States at seventeen and pursued my Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art at the College of Charleston. While in my junior year of college, I dreamed of creating Daniela Designs Co. In the beginning, I started by creating hand-painted pottery. Still, after a few years, I focused on creating original paintings on canvas and reproducing them into products such as art prints, stationery, home goods & more. Every painting I have done has been created with so much love, and it means the world to me that so many people have them. Every person who has my art has allowed me to brighten their world through my art, which is priceless.

Please talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been smooth, but it has been so worth it. As I mentioned before, I moved to the United States by myself when I was seventeen years old, and since then, I had to do and figure out everything by myself. The hardest part was leaving my family, friends, and life back in my country at such a young age. But as hard as it was, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I have always seen obstacles as opportunities for growth, learning valuable lessons from each experience and using them to propel myself forward. Through persistence and determination, I have continued to push through challenges, never losing sight of my goals and ultimately emerging more robust and resilient.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
My art is who I am and is the fingerprint I am leaving in this incredible world. Art has taught me not to give up on my dreams and to follow through with what I want and wish to accomplish when I started Daniela Designs Co. I dreamed of creating art to connect to everyone who came across it and brighten their world. I specialize in anatomy and botanical art. By showcasing the details of nature and humans, it allows the viewers to appreciate the complexity and elegance of the world. I am known for creating unique, happy, and inspirational art. I am immensely proud of my art, knowing that it has touched the lives of others and brought happiness and hope to their lives. Seeing my art’s impact on people fills me with a profound sense of fulfillment and gratitude. Experiencing and knowing that my art has the power to uplift spirits and inspire optimism is genuinely humbling. It reinforces my belief in the transformative power of art and motivates me to continue creating with passion and purpose, knowing that each piece has the potential to make a difference in someone’s life.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The qualities that are most important to my success are resilience and growth through what I went through. In my journey, I’ve encountered numerous challenges and setbacks, but my ability to bounce back, learn from adversity, and keep pushing forward has been instrumental in achieving my goals. Resilience has enabled me to navigate obstacles with determination and optimism, turning setbacks into opportunities for growth and learning. It’s the foundation upon which I’ve built my success and business, allowing me to persevere in the face of challenges and become stronger each time.
