Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Logan.
Hi Victoria, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have been a licensed esthetician for almost six years. I started in the skincare industry in 2016 after graduating from Aveda Institute in Charlotte NC. Once I graduated, I began making skincare products in my home. I started an e-commerce store which allowed me to began selling my organic skincare products online. By utilizing social media, like Facebook and Instagram, I was able to build a customer base in Greenville and surrounding areas. I opened a studio suite downtown Greenville in 2019, where I took my first facial client. I started out taking 1 to 5 clients a week. Through word of mouth and great customer service, I have been able to grow my business as well as my product line to service over 200 clients a month. The success of my business has allowed me to open a bigger location providing job opportunities for my fellow estheticians. I am currently renovating a 3000 square foot building which will be the new home of VLove Esthetics.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road. There were times where business was extremely slow, I would go around to various stores and malls to pass out my business cards. Initially, when I first graduated, I didn’t have enough money to go into a studio space. I had get a job in the corporate world and save in order to fund my dream job of esthetics. I have two children, there were times when I didn’t have childcare or couldn’t afford childcare. There were also times when I would take my children with me to package and ship orders out or to get skincare products. It was difficult but I wouldn’t change the journey.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
VLove Esthetics is a company that specializes in healthy skin, both internally and externally. Our focal points are providing a space for our community that helps treat, educate, heal and maintain healthy skin. We provide services like chemical peels, microdermabrasion, customized facials, hyperpigmentation treatments, back facials, body waxing, brow tinting, lash extensions, and more. The thing that sets us apart from other is that we educate each client on ways to create healthy habits for their skin. We also cater to every skin type; we specialize in ethnic skincare. We are so proud to have a brand that stands for and supports the community. Being able to help our community is our number one priority.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as creating a foundation strong enough to help yourself and others.
