Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany LaShá.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
EGP AllStar Cheer: Built with Purpose, Fueled by Passion
EGP AllStar Cheer began with a bold leap of faith and a mother’s love. Coming out of the pandemic, I knew I needed to create a safe, inspiring space for my daughter Bella and the athletes she grew up cheering with. Stepping away from corporate America, I followed a calling — believing that God would provide the wisdom, people, and resources to build something extraordinary. That vision became EGP AllStar Cheer: a platform that’s more than just cheer — it’s family.
As the only minority female-owned cheer gym in the area at the time, this journey was no small feat. But I was determined to build a space where excellence, character, and community were the standard. My motto is simple but powerful: **“When you do it, do it BIG — all the way around.”** That mindset has driven every decision, every detail, and every season.
We started Season 1 with just 17 athletes and one team. By Season 2, we had grown to 40 athletes and 3 teams — all of them national champions, including our very first team , Team Reign, who were crowned Global Champions. In Season 3, we soared to 125 athletes and 8 teams, all earning national championship titles. We also launched our Half-Year Program and began working with high school athletes. Now, at the end of Season 4, we’re still going strong — every one of our teams is once again a national champion.
But our program goes far beyond trophies. At EGP, we’re building well-rounded leaders. Through EGP Scholars, we emphasize the importance of academic excellence alongside athletic achievement. We reward our student-athletes who uphold high standards in the classroom with scholarship opportunities and public recognition.
Our EGP CARES outreach program encourages athletes and their families to give back through monthly service projects, from feeding the homeless to visiting assisted living homes and supporting children’s hospitals. It’s a core part of our mission to raise young people who lead with both heart and purpose.
To support our families, we also established a Booster Club with incredible fundraising partnerships, including the Bon Secours Wellness Arena and the Greenville Drive, helping offset costs and making competitive cheer more accessible for all.
We also believe that community is everything. Our season is full of bonding events for athletes and parents — from pool parties, family field days and lock-ins to our annual Holiday Gift Exchange and family-friendly events and celebrations. These moments build more than just team spirit — they foster lifelong friendships, create memories, and build a village of support around each athlete.
At EGP AllStar Cheer, we believe in the power of **Faith, Family, Firm, Fair, and Fun** — our core values that guide every decision we make. We start and end every practice in prayer, giving thanks and seeking guidance as we build stronger athletes and better individuals. We also make sure to recite positive affirmations together, setting the tone for success and reminding our athletes of their strength, resilience, and potential.
EGP AllStar Cheer is more than a program. It’s a movement. A place where excellence is expected, effort is celebrated, and every athlete is reminded they are seen, supported, and capable of greatness — both on and off the mat. 💗
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all — but every bump has been worth it. Starting EGP AllStar Cheer in the aftermath of a global pandemic came with a lot of uncertainty. As a minority female entrepreneur stepping away from the stability of corporate America, I had to overcome doubt, limited resources, and the pressure of building something from the ground up. There were times when it felt like I was pouring from an empty cup — balancing being a mother, coach, owner, and mentor all at once.
Building trust in the community, creating structure, and finding the right staff and families who believed in the vision took time. There were financial challenges, emotional growing pains, and moments where it would’ve been easier to give up. But I kept going — leaning on my faith, surrounding myself with purpose-driven people, and staying rooted in my mission. Every obstacle helped shape the culture of excellence, grace, and purpose that defines EGP today.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
EGP AllStar Cheer is more than a cheer gym — we are a purpose-driven training ground for champions in both sport and life. We specialize in competitive all-star cheerleading, offering full-year and half-year programs for athletes of all experience levels. We’re known for producing strong, confident athletes who dominate on the mat — and lead with character off it.
What truly sets us apart is our holistic approach. At EGP, we focus on the whole child — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We pray together, affirm one another, and move with discipline and intention. Our coaches are mentors. Our athletes are leaders. And our families are part of something bigger than just a sport — they’re part of a village that believes in excellence, grace, and purpose.
We’ve built a brand that is rooted in results. Every one of our teams is a national champion, and we’re proud to be home to the reigning Global Champions. But beyond the trophies, we’re most proud of the culture we’ve created — one where athletes feel seen, safe, and supported. Whether it’s through our **EGP Scholars** academic program, **EGP CARES** outreach initiative, or our incredible **Booster Club** partnerships with Bon Secours Wellness Arena and the Greenville Drive, everything we do reflects our core values: **Faith, Family, Firm, Fair, and Fun.**
We offer high-level training in stunting, tumbling, jumps, choreography, and performance — but we also offer mentorship, structure, accountability, and opportunities for growth that extend far beyond the mat. EGP is a place where dreams are built, confidence is born, and young leaders are developed.
What I want readers to know is simple: EGP AllStar Cheer is a movement. We’re building something real. We’re not just preparing athletes for competitions — we’re preparing them for life.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Yes — staying spiritually, mentally, and professionally grounded is so important to me. Spiritually, the **YouVersion Bible App** is a daily tool I use to stay rooted in faith, especially with devotionals that speak to leadership, perseverance, and purpose.
One powerful book that continues to shape me is *The Purpose Driven Life* by Rick Warren. It’s a spiritual classic that reminds me to lead with intention, walk in alignment with God’s calling, and keep purpose at the center of everything I do.
For leadership and business inspiration, I love books like *Leaders Eat Last* by Simon Sinek and *The 5AM Club* by Robin Sharma. Both challenge me to lead with discipline, clarity, and servant-minded strength. I also enjoy **The Craig Groeschel Leadership Podcast**, which gives powerful, practical strategies for growing as a leader while staying values-driven.
As a creative and a coach, I also keep a journal — not just for planning but for reflection. I believe some of the best ideas come in quiet moments, and writing helps me stay aligned with my goals, my purpose, and my people.
