Hi Tashma, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Tashma G. Glymph, owner, and CEO of Tashma Talks, LLC. I offer a dynamic offering built around the art of powerful communication – including an apparel line, educational enrichment, American Sign Language (ASL) tutorials, and screen-printed inspirational & educational designs around social justice, sign language, humanity and more including my most popular line, the Humankind choose both™ cotton tee.
I created Tashma Talks 10 years ago while traveling to different childcare facilities teaching ASL to toddlers; it was a passion that that turned into my purpose. It’s way more than sign language, it’s enhancing the art of communication in a variety of ways. When the pandemic happened, I temporarily lost my job – I was home with my then 10 and 14 year-old who were home attending virtual school also simultaneously signing them up for online enrichment activities during classes and . It was when a fellow Hampton University classmate asked me to share my gift of sign language with a group of babies online that the spark ignited to begin my online platform! I was later introduced to the screenprinting side of communication. I designed a Tashma Talks t-shirt to wear while on zoom that led to my clients requesting one for themselves, other designs including my Human-kind choose both ™ mentioned previously. America has awakened, alarmed, and working on alignment, I designed this tee to send the message out. Today the Tashma Talks #HumankindTee along with my #SocialJusticeGear #TrailBlazersGear has reached masses. The message is clear, and I am thankful to God for giving me the gift of communication! With God’s guidance, it has been a smooth road with u-turns here and there, yet a journey which I learn from every day.

I would like the readers to know:
Finding your purpose in life can come at any age. I am a pediatric certified Speech Therapist which I love, I work daily with children under the age of 3. I find it easy to communicate an adventure to create ways to help them communicate which include introducing American Sign Language to them. I incorporate ASL in every speech session not to replace their expressive language, but to enhance their communication. The goal of my business, Tashma Talks, LLC is to do just that- enhance the art of communication. Within my brand, I am most proud of the footprint my Human-Kind choose both™ tee has had on the world. The message is clear, the impact is powerful. I also offer consultation services, academic enrichment services, sign language sessions and more.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Big picture is to offer an app where individuals can interact with Tashma Talks TV, learn basic ASL sign, create tees for a larger audience, offer camps for kids with autism who have a difficult time with communication in all forms and to be a change maker in this world whether through my apparel line, my service to mankind, an app or on zoom, change is what the world needs now and love. It’ll be through my vision of Tashma Talks, LLC where I will do my part. 🤟🏾
