Meet Savanna Fowler

Today we’d like to introduce you to Savanna Fowler.

Hi Savanna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Ever since I was young I knew I had an interest in hair, never really put too much thought into it because it was a trade and not the traditional route of a college degree most people take since it’s more accepted in society. Flash forward to fall of my senior year of high school. I knew cosmetology was what I felt like I was called to do so I started looking into cosmetology schools in the spring and that same summer after I graduated, I started school to pursue my dream and it was the best decision I’ve made.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a rollercoaster but that’s with every career! School was hard, you’re learning something completely new that you don’t know in a very short amount of time. Fast forward to when you graduate from cosmetology school you’re in the real world where it can be intimidating, you don’t know anyone, you have no clients, and you’re still figuring it all out… it’s scary. It’s not the easiest career, but it’s a career that is worth it!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a cosmetologist! I specialize in color and I’m most known for doing lived in, low-maintenance colors. I love looks that are soft and natural looking on my clients. Customizing a look that is easy for them to maintain and always feel good, even if it’s been a couple of months before they can get back to the salon is what I love doing. I think what sets me apart is that I truly just love my job and giving clients my all, and love bringing out the confidence in others. Hair can make or break someone’s confidence so I always strive to make sure I give them the best of me and do what it takes to make them feel their absolute best!

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Social media and word of mouth! It costs nothing to like, follow, tag or share a post on social media of someone you support. Also, leaving google reviews. That help so much when people are researching a business to see if they want to try it out and support them. Word of mouth is also HUGE! If you love someone’s work, say it! It means so much more to people when you’re talking about how much you love something and recommend something, after all, you’re a walking billboard of a hairstylist’s work!
