Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Best.
Hi Liz, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in Missouri, and attended the University of Missouri where I studied History and Secondary Education. After graduating, I taught in India and Italy after those adventures, I began teaching history/coaching track and basketball in Missouri and found a love for working with students.
Despite enjoying my career as a teacher, I had always been drawn to the world of real estate. I developed a passion for it while helping my parents manage/flip their investment properties in Missouri. My love for real estate eventually led me to pursue a career as a realtor, and I have never looked back! I bring the same level of passion and energy to my work as a real estate agent, where I have experience helping first-time home buyers and investors.
What drew me to Charleston was the warm weather, beaches, hospitality, and how pet-friendly the city is, as well as all the history the city has! I have four dogs, Poppy, Posie, Polly, and Pongo! In my free time, I enjoy shopping, exploring the city’s rooftop bars, and soaking up the sun at the beach.
What sets me apart from other agents is my commitment to always do what is right for my clients. I truly care about their needs and have their best interest at heart, whether it’s finding the perfect home or helping them achieve their goals! I am dedicated to providing the best possible service for my clients!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A few struggles a long the way were moving from Missouri to Charleston not knowing anyone and starting a real estate business. Definitely pushed me to get involved in the community and meet new people which are both things I absolutely love to do however not knowing anyone here business was slow at the beginning!

I am a Real Estate Agent in Charleston, SC and the surrounding areas! I specialize in first time home buyers, VA, investors, and luxury homes! I am known for being committed to my clients and my marketing. Not knowing anyone here when I first moved here was tough so I really focused on using marketing as a tool to get my business up and running! I focused my marketing mainly on social media – Instagram and Tik Tok creating content that would not only be relatable to clients/other agents but also be educational of the ins and outs of real estate! I am most proud of moving to a city I knew no one starting a business and in my two years doubling my business from the previous while having happy clients that I have built genuine relationships with!
