Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Watson.
Hi Lindsey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started my journey with photography about 7 years ago, back in high school! I started on a borrowed camera from my grandfather and quickly fell in love with photography! I bought my first camera the same year and have been taking pictures ever since! I started photographing seniors graduating high school and college, families, professional headshots, and engagements! The first wedding I ever shot was for one of my childhood friends! And that wedding sparked my love for capturing love!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
It has not been a smooth road, but it has also not been a road I wished was any different. There was always a constant fear that I wouldn’t make it in the world of photography because I wasn’t as experienced or didn’t have the fanciest equipment that other photographers did. There was also the temptation to stay inside my comfort zone and work a job in the corporate world, but that was settling and not following my dreams! I went through many seasons where I’d do photography on and off full-time!
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a photographer based in the rock hill, SC, and Charlotte, NC, areas! I am most proud of how far I’ve come in my knowledge of taking pictures and editing! Practice doesn’t make perfect, but it does make you better at what you didn’t know how to do before!
