Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiran Anderson.
Hi Kiran, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I started off singing in the church where I’m from in Greenwood but I never really took it seriously until I got to college and I met my close friends there.
One of my friends actually did music so he just basically put me in the studio we laid down a track that was dope, and at that moment I knew that this was something that I’m destined to do.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a smooth road.
Nowhere close to it, but it has been a learning journey where I continue to learn each and every day.
In the music industry sometimes you get more no’s than yes’s and it can be discouraging but you have to remain strong because the grind and the long nights and long hours make everything worth fighting for once you reach where you want to be.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a singer/songwriter. I have released an album called “Music Heals Broken Hearts” it is on all platforms!
A couple of hits off that album are “We Ballin'”, “Misunderstood”, and “Feel Ya Body”. The one thing that I am most proud of is just honestly dropping my album.
I say that because I never really saw myself doing this and actually following my dreams. I’m blessed to say everything that I have dreamed for and worked hard for is starting to come to light.
What matters most to you? Why?
The thing that matters to me especially when it comes to my music is the feeling. What I mean by that is when you hear my music I want you to get a pure genuine feeling of just love and great sounds and a great feeling.
I want my music to touch places and feelings that the mouth can’t. I want you to hear and feel the pureness and the rawness of my voice. All in all, I just want my music to make an impact, and can be so impactful that it’ll be played years from now.
Another thing that matters to me the most is my family and my fans and supporters.
My family matters because they know the real me they know my story they’ve seen my struggle or struggled with me so they understand how much my music means and they support it all the way whether I’m heard by millions or just them.
