Meet Kingg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kingg.

Hi Kingg, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m an artist (rapper and songwriter) from North Augusta. I started making music in 2013 while I attended Charleston Southern University where I majored in Business Management and minored in Computer Science.

Music has always been a part of my life and when I got to college I embraced the talent that I always knew I had but avoided my entire life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a rough road figuring out the ends and outs of music but it’s been very fulfilling. Nothing in this life comes without some type of struggle and I’m glad for all the lessons I’ve learned along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a rapper and write songs for other creatives.

I’d like to consider myself a lyricist and I think I have a dope flow with the ability to be versatile on different beats along with making any genre of music. I’m most proud of staying true to myself and becoming successful in my own right.

I’ve been streamed in over 70 countries with more than 2 million streams. I’d like to think my originality and work ethic sets me apart from others.

So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why?
Family matters most to me and my community. I strive every day to become better thanks to both and to prove that someone with all the odds stacked against them can become anything they set out to be.

Whether that be a businessman, engineer, artist, or whatever the heart desires, I think you should go for it and give it you’re all.
