During the pandemic alone, she created over 10,000 career opportunities and a COVID relief fund to help those impacted in the community cover shelter, food, and clothing. She provided $100,000 in high school and college scholarships and sponsored models for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to walk in NY Fashion Week. She paid for funerals for those in need who passed away due to COVID-related illnesses. Her dedication to giving back and serving the world has been inspiring. In 2022, Success Magazine awarded her “Women of Influence” honoree along with Serena and Venus Williams, Shonda Rimes, and many powerhouses.
I watched an impactful woman serve so many people, all while watching her supporting her mother who is battling brain and kidney cancer, and she never gave up after being shot and losing a sibility to gun violence; she somehow always sees the positive potential in every situation, just google “Kiara Cancer” ( maiden name) and Kiara Streater and see all of the amazing things, this rare diamond has done for so many people.
It wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not! From being homeless, surviving a gunshot wound, having a mother battling cancer currently, and still consistently dedicating 7 days a week, 24-hour days to helping the world and others in need. All while being a mother of three and wife, she never accepts defeat and keeps going through all the many obstacles/challenges she has faced.
