

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenyatta Anderson.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
My passion for exercise, health, and wellness is all derived from softball. As a child, I thoroughly enjoyed movement and exercise; this led to my college major in Exercise Science, which started it all! Before graduating in 2019, I obtained my Certification to be a Personal Trainer and began taking clients. In 2020, the pandemic made me realize how disposable I was at my 9-5, and this was a feeling I never wanted to experience again. So I decided to do something about it! In 2021, I took the necessary steps to start my business, Ken Flex Fitness, LLC., and it’s been on and popping since then.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not! Growth is never linear, so there were a lot of ups and downs. As a “first-generation” entrepreneur, I had no clue what I was doing. Every decision I made felt like it was do-or-die! But, I stayed prayed up and kept my faith! The biggest thing I’ve learned as an entrepreneur is to trust yourself and never give up.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I founded Ken Flex Fitness, LLC, to spread my love for health, wellness, and fitness! My mission is to empower all people to tap into their best selves through exercise and nutrition. I realize that no two people are the same and require different needs depending on age, weight, abilities, etc. As a trainer, I can accommodate and improve overall physical performance, assisting clients to hit their fitness goals. I offer 1-on-1 personal training sessions and online services as well. In addition to in-person and online services, I offer digital products, such as Full Body workout guides programmed for all fitness levels!
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Yes! I need constant motivation so that I’m able to pour into my clients. I love listening to Jay Shetty, Joe Dispenza, and Bob Proctor. They help me tap into my highest potential.
