Meet Kayaissa Green of Crème De La Minks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayaissa Green.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In 2019, when I originally established Creme De La Minks, my goal was to be an eyelash extension retailer. I started off with 1 small order of mink lashes (50 pcs) which were very popular then. I had minimal business experience, in fact, I was in and out of employment due to many different factors. My first order of lashes sold fairly slow, but I was still determined. My clientele grew little by little as time went on and I began learning a few different marketing strategies. Then, one day I thought “Hey, I want to do more with this, I want to add more experience for my customers, and I want to make more money.” I knew that eyelash extensions were a girl’s power then, but I also knew fashion and style was even more powerful. I began to research and communicate with different vendors and finally decided I wanted to take it a step further and incorporate clothing into my business. I initially established myself in a local shopping mall and began attracting more customers there. As time grew I spent many nights researching & becoming knowledgeable about the word “business”. I knew how to “dress”, I knew how to put things on, but I also knew that I needed to know how to properly own and execute a business. Presently, I’m still learning, still growing, and still finding new and better ways to do things.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I’ve lived long enough to know that no road with a good ending destination is a smooth one. There are yellow lights, red lights, curves, and bumps. I experience very early mornings and very late nights chasing this dream. Some struggles I’ve faced was building clientele and having confidence in knowing the value of my business. I’ve lost and I’ve gained. I’ve seen days with no customers and days where I couldn’t get home. Nevertheless, it’s instilled in me that “The greater the risk, the greater the reward.” I will never regret taking this great risk.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Crème De La Minks?
I am the owner of Creme De La Minks a clothing boutique that specializes in contributing to the latest styles. I am known for keeping up with the latest trends and even recreating or enhancing trends. What sets me apart from others is a simple fact that I don’t mind being apart. I abide by my own rules and I set out to be different. I would say I’m most proud of my fearlessness, and determination to soar in an industry where there’s so much diversity.

How do you define success?
I define success as the mere feeling of knowing that you excelled at accomplishing any and every goal (big or small) that you set out to achieve,
