Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Vargas.
Hi Jasmine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
This project dates back to 2018 when I graduated high school & was figuring out what to do soon after summer ended. I was enrolled in university as a business major, so I always knew creating a business was the direction I wanted to go in. I began making sweets, such as chocolate berries & other Mexican desserts, like chocoflan & churro cheesecake. I found baking to be overwhelming & difficult since I hadn’t perfected my craft there yet. I began creating floral bouquets for my family, birthdays, and anniversaries and soon expanded to friends & my community back in Austin, TX. But love made my life take a turn & I married my best friend, Marco, and moved to Beaufort, SC, since he’s a Marine stationed here. I found a 9-5 but was looking for more, and after a month of being here, I dove right into florals again. I would say it’s my creative outlet, and I love mixing textures & colors to create beautiful florals. I’m about half a year in & although I’m not big in the industry yet, I am thrilled and blessed with what I’ve been able to bring up in a new place for myself.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Every business has a rough start even the tiniest details, like making a brand catalog (logo, picking colors, fonts, etc.), are so difficult for a perfectionist! But I have found my way to trust & follow what would look best. Now it’s really about maintaining clientele happy & creating brand new looks to branch out of the ordinary. I still have my 9-5 since I do not have enough business to sustain my lifestyle through my florals, but I hope this beginning allows me to create that life in the future. The best thing about my craft is that I can create beautiful things & it’s gratifying to see people love their arrangements. Doing something I truly adore makes any struggle worth it.

Floral arrangements for weddings, birthdays, special occasions, etc. I also do engagement setups on nearby beaches. Money bouquets are a big thing as well for new grads. Owned by a military spouse, Latina, bilingual (Spanish/ English). Christian business. I want people to know that I’m here to serve them! I am blessed with my creativity and want to bless others through my services.
Any big plans?
Plans for the future! Being a military spouse, I think the future is always in the air. My husband & I will be in Beaufort for the next ~2 years, and soon after not sure! I will continue this endeavor. It’s a passion I have developed & although stressful at some times, I love it. While I’m here, definitely take advantage!
