Meet Frederick Jabber

Today we’d like to introduce you to Frederick Jabber.  

Hi Frederick, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I am the owner/Buyer of J. Fredric’s. We are a curated collection boutique, offering exceptional style and craftsmanship for the Modern Man. 

I began my retail career early as an intern for a menswear store in Greenwood, SC, and accepted a position after college. Shortly after I accepted a sales position at Brittons in Columbia. After moving up tiers, I accepted a position at Weathers of Columbia as a Buyer and Merchandising Manager. I saw tremendous growth personally at Weathers for 15 years. 

I made the wholesale/Merchandising Director/Manager leap to Ike Behar and Neiman Marcus for several years in 

Charlotte, NC. While with Ike Behar, I served as Retail Director/Brand Ambassador for new store openings and Made-To-Measure specialist. In this role, I worked closely with professional sports and movie studios such as the Dallas Cowboys and the John Wick movies. 

I resigned in January 2021 to pursue my dream of a menswear boutique. 

And with more than twenty-five years as a Sartorial Specialist, I provide clients with expert craftsmanship, unique details, and the highest standards of fit. We believe Quality Takes Time, so we provide tailored clothing and sportswear Made-To-Measure and a stock collection of ready-to-wear for the client who prefers immediate satisfaction. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success/opening a boutique for me has not been smooth. The retail environment can be fickle and filled with obstacles. 

Due to financial challenges, economic times, consumer opinions, and direct or indirect threats the path to success is not easy. 

But the pursuit and accomplishment of reaching your goals are worth the journey. 

I enjoy each day knowing I am working for myself and my why!

I am a Menswear Boutique Owner, located in the Charleston Hotel. 

We offer tailored clothing, sportswear, shoes, and accessories for the modern man along with Made-To-Measure clothing and shirts for women.
