Today we’d like to introduce you to Dennisha Bellinger.
Hi Dennisha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
As a child, I always had a passion for fashion. I loved watching fashion tv shows, reading fashion magazines, and creating fashion designs in my sketchbook. I loved everything about the fashion industry and it was always my dream to be a part of the industry one day. Along with that, I dealt with body-shaming as a kid. As a victim of that, I wanted to create a fashion brand that promotes self-love and self-confidence and allows women to express themselves through fashion. In 2019, I launched my very own online boutique. Pure Flawless Boutique was designed for confident women who embrace their style and inner beauty without fear of judgment. They wear what they want, when they want, with confidence.
I got to where I am today by investing in resources, staying consistent, and not being afraid to take risks. When I first started, I had no idea what it took to run a business or where to even start. I invested in business coaches and gained lots of knowledge that really helped me gain clarity on how to run and grow a business. I also refused to give up on myself and trusted God’s plan for me.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I can honestly say this journey hasn’t been easy at all. There have been lots of challenges along the way. From not knowing how to start to not knowing how to market and reach new people, to having slow days with no sales. The list goes on and on. Some days are harder than others but no matter how hard it gets I refuse to quit. I love what I do and I know one day my hard work will pay off. Nothing in life is ever going to be easy. If you really want something, you have to make sacrifices and do whatever it takes to get to where you want to be.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I would have to say my favorite childhood memory is when I was one of kids who read the most books in my grade and got to ride in a limo and have lunch at Pizza Hut.
