Meet Creative Zin Agency

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayleigh and Jennafer McAllister and Conley.

Hi Kayleigh and Jennafer, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
We are Creative Zin Agency. We were fed up with corporate BS, people telling us what we can and can’t do, people taking all the credit or not working as hard as we do. So we decided one afternoon that we weren’t going to take it anymore and that we felt we could do it better. Within 1 day, we had a business name, and basic structure, we filed for our business license and secured a domain name and social handles. We both work well under pressure and we both work and play hard so it just flowed. We didn’t take the time to get scared or question. We took a leap – together.

Jennafer is known as a “brand psychologist” and has 20 years of experience in the industry. She understands all pieces of your brand and how they work together to showcase what your business is all about and how to attract your ideal customers.

Kayleigh is the whip cracker, client whisperer, and big picture thinker. She keeps things running smoothly, takes care of everyone, and comes up with amazing ideas to propel CZA and our clients forward.

We are classy, sassy and a bit smart-assy.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Mostly, it’s been pretty smooth. We’ve been in this field for 25 years between the two of us but we’ve only been in business as Creative Zin Agency since December 2021. We’ve had some growing pains as we’re learning what works for US instead of the way things have traditionally been done in our past experiences or in the industry. It’s been freeing and surprisingly easy for us to navigate these new, uncharted waters. We just kind of flow and say “this isn’t working” or “if we keep doing things this way, we’ll never get to where want to be” so how do we change? We’ve already learned so much and each time we hit a bump, having each other to be able to talk it through and question and challenge has been a gift. I think we say to each other, “Now let me play Devil’s Advocate here” several times a day!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We’re a Creative Agency specializing in brand and campaign creation. We have a process and system in place to deliver a brand (logo, visuals, brand voice, and tone), website, 2 campaigns (one for brand awareness and one for a specific product or service), and 1 month of social media posts and graphics within 1 month! We love being able to deliver a brand that aligns so well with our clients and their target audience that they leave the unveiling meeting floating on air.

Our FUSE is the first step in working with clients. With the FUSE, we look at where you are now, who you are, where you WANT TO BE, and then create a custom plan to get you there! Then, we ignite the FUSE and that’s when we begin the 1 month process of brand building.

What sets us apart is our process and our clientele. We work with businesses that want to stand out. They’re quirky, maybe a little weird. They are innovators and they aren’t afraid to try new things and stepping out of the box isn’t enough. They want to set it on fire. The thought of being boring and blending in makes their skin crawl. They want to stir things up and start conversations.

We ARE our target client. Though we haven’t been in business for even a year, we’ve been hearing for decades: “no one will take you seriously if you have pink hair” “don’t cuss” or “you can’t wear that to a business meeting”. Now we say, “watch us”. We’re doing it our way and we’re attracting people that want to blaze their own trail just like we do.

Ballsy Brands. Serious Business.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
We weren’t in business yet during most of the crisis but we were working together at another company. We learned to adapt. We learned to look for new ways to do marketing, for ourselves and for clients. We learned to be grateful even though we had hardships because there’s always someone struggling harder.

Pricing:

  • $479 for our “FUSE” – our first step in working together.
