Hi Ciera, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
As a little girl growing up, I can remember my mom teaching and showing me the importance of learning and education. I can remember when she decided to start her own business and all of the information she had to acquire in order for it to be a success. By the way, she too worked with children. She had her own child care and learning center for 20 years. She was eager and excited to be the best that she could be in her own way. In this, I observed her and the drive she had to accomplish what she set in her mind to do.
Once I grew up, I acquired my four-year college degree and worked with children of all ages within After School Programs, Daycare Centers, and Educational Summer Camp Programs. In doing this, I knew there was more for me to do.
Hi! My name is Ciera Thomas. I am the owner and founder of CoolSCHoolLearning.
CoolSCHoolLearning first came into existence in the year 2020 due to what was going on in the world at that time. It was founded on the basis of helping children to excel in how they learn and attain knowledge in education. In order to help parents with their early learners, I started creating printable learning materials for kids. Also, these learning materials were easy to access and print from the comfort of their homes. In this, more growth was necessary to reach other kids as well.
In the year 2021, I obtained a mentor to take CoolSCHoolLearning to the next level. My mentor at the time saw me clearly and the passion I had for helping children in learning and education. As we communicated, She began to guide and instruct me on how to push beyond my comfort zone in business. As a result, CoolSCHoolLearning Online Tutoring Services came into existence. We provide online tutoring services for ages 5 -10 years old for Reading and Writing. We also have a Little Ones’ Online Tutoring Program for Ages 5 – 6 years old. This program includes learning the Alphabet, Numbers, Colors, Counting, Addition, Subtraction, Days of the Week, Months of the Year, and Sight Words.
As a result, CoolSCHoolLearning has helped children all around the world with our printable learning materials and within Florence, SC serving kids with our Online Tutoring Services. I am so grateful and blessed for the growth of CoolSCHoolLearning. All thanks and glory belongs to God.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being the founder and owner of CoolSCHoolLearning and maintaining the business was not a smooth road. There were times when I felt I didn’t have all I needed to be successful. At times, I also thought the information I attained wasn’t enough to reach all the kids that needed it. That is why it was important for me to have a mentor to remind me of who I was and was created to be. I had to push beyond how I felt because I knew God gave me the name for the business for a purpose and I had to walk in what I was called to do. Yes, I got tired and took breaks but I didn’t give up. Being in business, you have to be strong-willed and set goals to push you to the next level.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
While growing up, I was very observant and wise. I would often ask my parents about being a part of activities at school that would enhance my learning ability. I wanted to be able to clearly understand what I was learning at the present time but also be prepared for the next grade. I also enjoyed being able to help other kids learn as well.
