Meet Brittney Eady

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Eady.

Hi Brittney, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
It started after my oldest was born. I took so many photos of her with my cellphone, I had to keep clearing the storage every week. It was crazy. Needless to say, this trend carried on with my second. My husband ended up buying me a little point-and-shoot camera. From there, I began taking their photos but wanted to add a finishing touch.

My sister told me about the online editing site, PicMonkey. You couldn’t tell me my photos of the kids weren’t amazing. Haha. Anyway, a family member asked me to do her maternity photos. I gladly obliged with the disclaimer I am no professional. That got me thinking about the number of mothers and families who would love pictures of these moments, but didn’t or couldn’t get them.

Special moments in our lives should be able to be remembered, held in your, and viewed at any time. This is why and how I decided to study photography, and become a photographer. I found it to be my happy place and it gave me a sense of myself.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been all rainbows and sprinkles. I have an internal struggle sometimes. Balancing pricing and valuing my art is tough. My goal is to have affordable options, while not compromising my worth. A part of valuing my work is my delivery. I get so nervous delivering a gallery.

I put so much time, passion, pride, and emotions into my work. It’s a breath of relief when clients love their gallery. It’s not just a job or talent I was born with, nor a craft that I believed I would have. I really love taking photos of people and helping to create memories. I aim to make my clients go through all the “feels”, the good ones especially.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a photographer, it is my responsibility to make this moment fun in order to create happy memories. I take so much pride in my work. That’s what I deliver to my clients; pride and heart. From my heart to theirs, a piece of me goes into each session.

I just love being behind the camera and being creative. If you can dream it, I will do my best to create it to fit your personality. Family, first birthdays, weddings, and more, I love the experience of seeing others happy. I think what sets me apart from others is my work ethic. The bases of my work ethic is not knowing if this may be the last photo that will be taken.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The number one concern from clients are their looks and how awkwardness. Why wouldn’t these be? Most of us have insecurities and feel we are awkward. Especially when it comes to photos. I know what it feels like to not be comfortable in front of a camera. Honestly, I still am “awkward” in front of the camera.

However, we are creating memories. I want my clients to focus on that. It’s my job to give them all of the confidence in the world. I’ll be your hypeman, make you feel comfortable and forget about the camera. Just have fun. We are all beautiful and I make sure they know that.

This is just me being me and spreading love to those I meet. That’s the most important thing and the key to my success.
