Sam and Kelli Johnson & Wallace and Danielle Skipper

Sam, Kelli, Wallace, and Danielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Seed Slingers was founded by four Coastal Carolina University graduates. We started with landscaping and have grown to specializing in erosion control while also offering clearing, grubbing, silt fence and landscaping services to support full site preparation. Today, Seed Slingers partners with contractors and developers across SC & NC, providing dependable, efficient solutions that keep projects moving and compliant. Our growth has been driven by hands on leadership, strong relationships, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like most growing businesses, Seed Slingers faced challenges as demand increased. We adapted by investing in equipment and building reliable crews. Labor availability was another hurdle, which pushed us to strengthen training and leadership.

As we transitioned from smaller jobs to larger commercial projects, we became more organized, efficient, and intentional in our operations.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Seed Slingers is locally owned and operated by family. We our known for our specialization in erosion control. We developed our reliable name by strengthening our employee and contractor relationships. When you do business with us, we treat you as family because we are family. We believe these relationships set us apart in our industry. Our progress is personal, which has gotten us where we are today. Building Strong Foundations, One Seed at a Time.
