

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Touchet.
Hi Rachel, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began my career in the staffing industry 2015 and quickly advanced from entry-level recruiting to senior level and Vice President of Recruiting Operations for a reputable local staffing agency. I attribute my success in the industry mainly to my competitive nature and natural desire to solve problems. I am honored to have been an asset to many companies across the upstate of SC for nearly a decade. I come from a large family with a long line of strong and successful women and a devoted and loving father, who have made me into the leader I am today.
Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No, great paths are rarely smooth. I have fought my way from the very beginning. I am overcoming sexism and ageism from day one in my industry. Fighting for a seat at the table and finally being led to build my own.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
R&R Resolute Staffing Firm is a women-owned and managed employment agency focused on contract, contract-to-permanent, & direct-hire positions. We focus on industrial, manufacturing, skilled labor, and construction. We are known for taking on challenges that most seek to avoid. I am personally known well for being willing to have tough conversations and be transparent with our clients, which has created a strong trust and appreciation for our partnerships. I am very proud that we get to staff for and represent some of the best companies in the Upstate of South Carolina.
What changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
We are in a unique market that is ever-changing and challenging. Thankfully, I see the shifts between the lack of jobs and qualified people. It will get more difficult as people become less interested in the trades and physically demanding roles. However, we are actively speaking to high school and college students, encouraging them that salaries will only increase with the lack of applicants, so it would serve them well in learning a trade.
