Today we’d like to introduce you to Indy Wilson.
Hi Indy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Since I was a little girl, it’s always been my dream and passion to be this huge mogul in the business industry. I never wanted a set name of work because I never limited myself. I can have and will have everything and I will use everything God instilled inside of me. I used to literally always talk about how I would be so rich and famous one day I had a singing group that I created with my cousins at the age of 9 years old we would perform in front of our family and everything. I was a little shy but I always knew that I would break out of that because what God had planned for my life was bigger than me.. the singing group era was soo fun and the best part about it was I had the chance to work with my cousins. That was a time I enjoyed doing that so much. I use to always want to model and be a huge inspiration to others I just needed the platform and once I got it, I ran with it. There are so many people out here with a platform like me but they not me. I don’t care to sit at nobody’s table I’ll build my own I always said once I got my foot in the door, I would always keep the door open to continue to pour into and inspire others. I can reach others and give them the game and my shine won’t stop… I’m destined it was already written for me that’s why I don’t stress about anything.. I am going to be a Multimillionaire on Forbes I will be a household name and I will be the one little black girls look up to can you take out the to and say “because she did it, so can I” Everything I’m doing now I’ve been talking about how I would one day. I remember when it use to be such a joke and so funny to people when I use to tell them I would be making money off social media and now it’s my reality as a Social Media Influencer. My younger self would be so proud of me. I am the person that my younger self would look up to and that warms my heart. I love what I do and I am truly passionate about what I do. I always knew it would happen for me. I never doubted that.. I am somebody and whether people like it or not they have to respect it and admit it.. I still have ways to go but where I am now is still truly a blessing because I am literally sitting in my answered prayers right now. Keep God first I’m telling you and everything else will fall in place.. and of course, staying consistent and being disciplined and most importantly, loyal.. stay true to who YOU are and never lose sight of that!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey to success will never be smooth or easy so if that’s what you’re looking for then I don’t know what to tell you because if it was so smooth and easy, everyone would be doing it. Nothing worth having will come easy. You have to take risks and you have to make sacrifices in life you’ll have to choose when you wanna go to that next level and really elevate you’ll have to make some sacrifices. My biggest struggle used to always be trying to include people in my blessings and a vision that God gave me that was NEVER meant for them to see. I’ve always known what my purpose was in life at an early age too so I would always try to put others on so bad that I never considered myself. I had to realize that I couldn’t make them see a vision that was never meant for them to see sometimes that blessing just be for you and you mess up when you try to take everybody with you that’s not supposed to be. A lot of people in your life are seasonal and I struggled with learning when to let people go… when it’s time to elevate separation must take place ( sacrifices) it’s not always easy and it hurts but it hurts more to stay the same.. it’s all about growth. Choose YOU!

I am a Professional Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle Model, Upcoming Actress, Content Creator and Social Media Influencer better known as “They Love Indyy” I also Host events and run small business promos on my story. I prioritize brands by creating high-quality content for brands to help them grow into successful brands. I am most proud of the fire in me that I have to be successful because I’ve literally had every reason to give up but this drive in me, this fire in me to be successful is so strong… it’s something no one can take away that’s how I knew this was from God because it’s been times when I wanted to throw this all away and I don’t think I ever heard God talk to me before until this one time I was really depressed career-wise (this what they don’t tell you) and I didn’t know what was next and I wanted to just give up and God literally said to me “Use what I gave you” and that was the confirmation I was going hard since.. because I know who I am and I know what I’m supposed to be doing and I have so much power within me to make it happen because who I am is bigger than just me… I have sooo many people tell me daily how I inspire them and how I motivate them one lady told me that because of me I inspired her to start nursing school. Sometimes I don’t even realize the influence I have on people. I will just be myself and I show up as myself and I never hid anything I’m transparent and that’s why my followers love me…. There isn’t anybody walking this green earth I want to be like God made me different and I love that for me.. I’m 1 of 1 I don’t see nobody but ME!
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Yes! Find yourself a mentor even millionaires have mentors. Find yourself a mentor that’s genuine that you can study.. and learn from. You’ll always be a student in life because it will always be something you don’t know that you need to learn. That’s where mentors come in even mentors have mentors lol and the list goes on. When it comes to networking never stop, always network with everyone you come in contact with just networking in the right rooms can change your life. All it takes is that RIGHT room. Your network is your NETWORTH!
