Hi Carley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi! I’m Carley! I love my day job, but I always like to challenge myself. During the day, I’m a full-time Reading Interventionist. As a hobby pre-Covid, I was selling Paparazzi jewelry. I loved interacting with people and doing markets, but I noticed many more opportunities for handmade items. A few years later, after some research, I decided to try making soaps, and I loved it! I enjoy working with new scents and shapes. I love being creative, but I also take custom orders! I have recently expanded my business, Simply Gant, with bath bombs, shower steamers, and sugar scrubs. I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
My biggest challenge is that I am a brand new business. As I add new products, I spend a lot of time researching recipes and techniques to make my products my own and the very best I have to offer. I am also learning a lot about marketing and advertising my business from the ground up. I started Simply Gant in September of 2022.
Thanks for sharing that. Can you tell us more about your work next?
I started making soaps in various shapes, sizes, and scents. Since then, I have added bath bombs and shower steamers. I’m proud of how far I have come in the few months since creating Simply Gant. My favorite products are massage exfoliating soaps, colorful bath bombs, and shower steamers. The steamers last a long time in your shower and make it smell good!
What matters most to you?
Creating quality products that my customers enjoy. Self-care is important; many of us neglect this part of our lives. If I can make someone feel better, whether it’s a quick, smell-good shower or smelling their favorite scent while they wash their hands, then I have succeeded. Many products are vegan-friendly as well.
