Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Houston.
Hi Brittany, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My business started in 2015. I loved cosmetics, so I decided to become a professional makeup artist. As the years grew, so did I. But my business took a drastic turn for the better once I gave my life to Jesus Christ. My work began to look better, and my clients started increasing. Then God opened the door for me to have my cosmetic store. And this week, I will be launching an online makeup Academy.
Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This journey has been challenging. I struggled for a long time. I remember doing makeup for free to get my name out there. I lived in a small town at the time in Mississippi, and it seemed as though I was invisible. Prom would roll around, and no one would book me. Many times I felt like giving up. But I’m so happy I didn’t.
Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Well, I’m a serial entrepreneur. I own 2 successful businesses. I specialize in online retail and beauty education. I’m known for the live shows we do on Facebook. I do 4 shows a week (live sales), and I sell wigs, clothing, and jewelry to women all over the United States. This business is growing rapidly, and I thank God for it. It’s 123PopupShop LLC, and my cosmetic store is HTM Cosmetics LLC. I am most proud of the fact that I get a chance to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and sell wigs at the same time. Out shows are packed with laughter, worship, and good preaching. Women from all over the United States gravitate to our shows because they are encouraging and uplifting.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I like the fact that everything is in one spot. When I lived in Mississippi, I would travel far to go shopping. I also like the fact that the weather is excellent.
