Inspiring Conversations with Reesey Muney of Reesey Muney Productions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reesey Muney.

Hi Reesey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started writing poetry in 2013. I had no idea that I was falling in love with something that would be with me for the rest of my life. In 2014 I recorded my first mixtape as an artist with help of my friend and producer Kwon Boomerz and released it exclusively on Spinrilla. From there I dropped a follow-up project in 2015 called Muney Talks. I took a break from music for a couple of years to take care of real-life problems and to learn the business side of things. Today I am now a producer with 50 + songs under my belt & constantly trying to find ways to innovate and push the limits of sound.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been as smooth as most would think but nothing worth having comes easy. Using beats from youtube had got some of my tracks deleted early on as an artist as well as using loops off the internet has gotten some of my beats deleted . For anyone that wants to be successful in this field you have to do good business and not take any short cuts . Losing inspiration because of followers and likes is childish and it will give you the wrong impression of yourself .

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I opened my business in 2019. I specialize in music production as well as sound design . I’m mostly known for my aggressive drums and innovative/smooth sound. The fact that I want my productions to be in video games and movies sets me apart from most because of the natural approach I take to production and the ear I have for certain sounds. The thing I’m most proud of about my brand is that I’ve been letting my work do the talking and I never quit on myself. My face isn’t my brand my production and customer service are my brand and the most important thing to me is having fun and putting out good quality work. Music production, custom productions, sound design, & sound kits/drum kits are some of the many services I specialize in.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Never doubt yourself no matter what everyone is doing around you. You cant cheat the journey if it was easy everyone would be rich from doing it.
