Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathaniel Rossi.
Hi Nathaniel, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was a police officer for approximately 10 years. I ended my career by doing undercover narcotics and Mexican cartel work. Around that time, my wife lost the function of her hand. For months, we tried everything, and nothing helped. She was diagnosed with carpal tunnel and told she would have to go in for surgery. I was complaining to a friend when a doctor (who does what I do now) overheard me and said he might be able to help my wife. This doctor performed an exam and took X-rays. He told us that my wife did not have carpal tunnel and that she had several pinched nerves in her neck that had caused her hand issues. Fast-forward to 6 weeks later, and thanks to this doctor, my wife had full function of her hand back, and I was so inspired that I left law enforcement, went back to school with two small children in tow, and became the same type of specialty chiropractor that this doctor was. I have served patients in California, Florida, and Las Vegas and now own a thriving practice in the country’s Charleston, SC, area. The type of chiropractic that I practice does not do any twisting, cracking, or popping. It is incredibly gentle, safe, and effective. I help patients with migraines, vertigo, balance disorders, scoliosis, concussions, and degenerative neurologic conditions.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a challenging road. I had to move out of Florida due to COVID-19 crashing the market. I went into business with a partner in Las Vegas during COVID, and we built the business from failure to success through COVID. My wife and I now have 4 children, and we miss the green grass and ocean water. We moved out to Charleston, SC, and built our business again. Along the way, supply chain issues with equipment and x-ray certifications have been complicated, but I would keep everything the same as it is best for my patients. To maintain the level of chiropractic that I perform, I attend neurologic conferences out of state. It takes a lot to stay on top of this specialty form of chiropractic, but it is best for my patients, so it is worth the time and energy.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am one of less than 250 doctors worldwide who provide NUCCA chiropractic care to patients. I perform incredibly gentle yet extremely powerful and effective care for my patients. This care helps patients with chronic migraines, balance issues, tinnitus, and more.
One of many success stories is a patient who was a Registered Nurse and was involved in a bad car crash over a year ago. She has had visual disturbances, suffered a concussion, and has migraines, headaches, and severe neck pain. She was passed around from doctor to doctor with little to no relief. She started care at my office, and within 3 weeks, her migraines and headaches were gone. Her neck pain had dropped 80 percent, and her energy level had increased. She has started applying for Registered Nurse positions, and her visual disturbances have improved significantly.
What sets me apart from other doctors is the level of neurologic exams I perform on patients to get to the root cause of the issues that plague them. I also do an x-ray analysis of one-hundredth of a millimeter. The last thing that separates me from other doctors is the communication and explanation of high-level neurology, which is very simple for each patient. I believe in patient empowerment and knowledge. I do not rush my patients. My interactions with my patients are never transactional; I take my time to address all issues that my patients bring to me. My wife created all our logos and branding, and I am incredibly proud of what has been produced. My wife and I are slowly changing the healthcare landscape to reflect what should be expected in chiropractic care and from doctors in general.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Communication and listening to my patients is the key to our success. Over 95% of our new patients are word-of-mouth from existing patients. This speaks volumes to how we treat our patients and our transparency in telling them how we can help them and follow through with assisting them.
