Hi Melissa, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a Spanish-speaking Latina from San Diego, California. I have been a military spouse for 10 years. I have resided in 4 different countries over the past 9 years. I started my life in the financial world as a teller at a credit union in Europe, then became a loan officer. I fell in love with reading credit reports and approving loans. I enjoyed helping people get their credit started through credit cards and personal loans. I had the opportunity to help members save a lot of money by explaining the refinancing process of a vehicle. Since my arrival to Charleston, I’ve had the opportunity to work with two mortgage brokerages, where I expanded my knowledge of mortgage loans.
My goal is to help people and businesses go beyond their limits with the power of credit. I am a financial consultant, and I am partnered with one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in America. We have been featured in Forbes magazine and have been part of the 5000 Inc 2 years in a row. I help individuals with personal credit and loans. I assist business owners in properly build business credit, so they can fund their businesses and top using their personal assets.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Since I had recently moved to Charleston in September 2021. Since I arrived, I have chosen to focus on helping the community. During this process, I have been able to meet many amazing families and professionals. It has been amazing to be able to partner up with various exchange clubs to help. It has been a wonderful opportunity to help educate people about the power of credit.

What are your plans for the future?
My future goals are to help individuals gain financial freedom. A place where they won’t be living paycheck to paycheck. Where they will feel comfortable to live and not worry. I want to help the Latino and military community gain the financial education to be on the right path. Business owners in the area I am coming for you. My main mission is to help business owners separate business and personal credit. So, they don’t put their families’ assets in jeopardy.
