Katrell The Phenomenal, was born in Mount Vernon, New York. Raised in Mullins, South Carolina & Kenly, North Carolina. After several OCONUS deployments and countless war exercises, “K.P” was honorably retired from the U.S. military, and began operating his production company full-time, TruBrilliance Entertainment.
Named after his Suns, Truth & Brilliance.
He has been making waves independently since inception; now after partnering up with Pairamilitary Music Group (Hollywood) & 100 Grand Entertainment (NC), he has joined the Mixtape Addict team (FRANCE).
Got to where we are business-wise today by doing good ethical business and always keeping good personnel around – as well as me being a good person. Also having a work ethic of a machine. My work ethic, professionalism, and ability to adapt to overcome (is unreal) – have helped me out last, stand out and be apart from all of the static and imitators. Have been crowned an underground king, affectionately, by peers and mentors alike. My selflessness and drive are unparalleled in matters of business; including but not limited to social media marketing, face-to-face engagements, industry networking and artist management.
My goal is to one day operate and own multiple professional recording studios & mobile studios. Aim to seek out disenfranchised youth and talents, provide them an outlet to do something positive at reasonable rates, if at any expense other than time.
Once more financially secure, continue to invest back into different communities. Build an outreach center.
Started in my own neighborhoods, funding an assortment of educationally and vocationally sound programs for those who needed that guidance and support. Going to continue to show my Suns that honest whole-hearted hard work pays off, and we must live selflessly in order to have an authentic and fruitful life. It is what we were born to do, love one another.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Wouldn’t say it has always been “easy”, due to some of the sacrifices have had to make, but it has gotten easier and more fulfilling as we continue to execute, refine, and be disciplined in our actions. Accomplishing goals. Muscle memory is important and to be used to an advantage. Each day is an opportunity to be better and live the lives we desire to live. Each day is another day to practice and work towards our goals. Keeping a positive mindset and focus on what the end state is – helps shape my perception and reality that anything we want we can have/get – not to stay down when it feels like life has become too heavy and weighs me down. Get back up and keep getting up until, physically incapable to do so. At that time my job will be complete and the goal is to leave this place a better place, than when got here. My presence is felt and will continue to be felt longer after my physical life force expires.
One of the most important lessons have learned along the way is to never let anyone discourage me of my inner and true power. Possess everything needed already inside – it’s up to me to hone whatever it is, gifted with, and apply myself to elevate and ascend above all of the evil and unrighteousness.

Working with them has been a highlight of my life, b/c they introduced me to “Black Hollywood” where have seen some of the most talented & dedicated beings, at their art/craft, that have ever seen in my life. Another highlight was the opportunity to meet Mr. Percy Miller, through my Brethen Al Greene, and Mr. Miller to be aware of my brand and my existence.

Must dedicate my biggest shoutout to my Creator (highest source) & my Suns, Brilliance & Truth – to which our company, TruBrilliance Entertainment, is named after and gives my life complete purpose. Before them, life wasn’t as meaningful, and now they are my driving and motivating force. They are my legacy, and greatest accomplishment; they will be even greater than any other of my greatest achievement(s) / accomplishments. Most definitely have to shoutout my Mother who is my gateway to being a good & decent human being. She was my introduction to Music (GOOD music).
