Today we’d like to introduce you to Charles Dalton.
Hi Charles, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I first discovered photography as a hobby, inspired by my father, who always had a camera by his side wherever we went. Watching him sparked something in me at a young age, and over time, that curiosity grew into a genuine passion. I began exploring on my own—capturing moments around the city and developing my eye for detail and storytelling. What started as a simple interest gradually evolved into both a creative outlet and a thriving business, allowing me to express my perspective through every image I create.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The journey hasn’t always been easy. In a highly saturated market, finding my place was a challenge—especially when comparison became a distraction. Everything shifted when I let that go and re-centered on the joy photography brings me. Once I leaned into my niche and focused on what made my work unique, things began to fall into place, and I haven’t looked back since.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Charles Dalton Photography ?
My photography business is centered around storytelling—capturing authentic moments and turning them into timeless, meaningful images. I specialize in portrait and event photography, working with individuals, families, and brands to create visuals that reflect genuine emotion and personality.
What sets me apart is my focus on creating a comfortable, natural experience so clients can be themselves in front of the camera. I prioritize real moments over forced poses, paired with a clean, cinematic style that keeps my work consistent and distinctive.
I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built and the experience I provide from start to finish. At its core, my brand is about connection—helping people preserve their stories through photography.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is going to Six Flags with my mom. Traveling with her is something I still hold close to my heart. She passed away in 2018, but even though we didn’t have much, she always found a way to create meaningful moments and lasting memories with me.
