Today we’d like to introduce you to Brent Heist.
Hi Brent, We’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. Before we get into specifics, please briefly describe how you got to where you are today.
I moved here a little over ten years ago to take my master’s of law in Maritime at the Charleston School of Law. Once I graduated, I took the New Jersey and South Carolina Bar. After working for a few firms, I opened my own firm out of my condo with about $3,000 to my name. Six years later, I am still plugging away and trying to build the Heist Law firm name.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road? If not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My past employer sued me when I left my last firm; not signing clients for a substantial period is always scary.
Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I primarily handle personal injury cases, helping people who are hurt.
What does success mean to you?
