Today we’d like to introduce you with Logan Rice Premier Arts Collective.
Hi Logan Rice, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In 1998, the Premier Foundation was established as the charitable ministry of the world’s largest Christian events promotion company to serve those in need around the world. For over 24 years, the Premier Foundation faithfully served the marginalized, the hurting, and those who have been left behind in the United States and in a number of countries around the world.
Over the years, the Premier Foundation began establishing relationships with artists and implementing art programs for those they served. As the programs continued to grow, it became evident that the arts were instrumental in the healing and transformation journey of all involved. From there, Premier Arts Collective was born.
In September 2021, the Premier Foundation officially became Premier Arts Collective – an experiential non-profit organization offering healing and therapy through the arts and music to serve the underprivileged and those affected by trauma and abuse.
Premier Arts Collective continues to build on this foundation of creativity and service. Our inspiring programs strive to always integrate the needs of the community we’re serving and learn from our program partners as to the best ways to help the healing process.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As with anything worth pursuing in life, the road to healing and transformation for those around the world is seldom a smooth and easy path. We face obstacles and challenges every day: Sourcing the funds to accomplish programs and projects, ensuring that our programs are reaching those in need, and quite honestly, the amount of need there is all around us.
Yet, time and time again over our 20+ year history, we have seen God open doors that didn’t seem possible. We do our best to faithfully walk through those doors and see what He has in store for the coming days, weeks, months, and years at Premier Arts Collective.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Premier Arts Collective is an experiential non-profit organization offering healing and therapy through the arts and music to serve the underprivileged and those affected by trauma and abuse. That mission is accomplished at PAC through our programs and artists.
As of October 2022, we have seven art and music therapy programs and workshops in operation with our partner organizations here in the United States and around the world. These programs provide healing and transformation through the arts for those experiencing homelessness, children rescued from slavery, as well as women and children affected by the horrors of domestic and sexual abuse.
Our growing and ever-evolving Artist Collective consists of performance artists, visual artists, musicians, and therapists that believe in the power of the arts as transformational in not only their lives but the lives of others.
As a 501(c)(3), we have an obligation to our donors and sponsors to maximize the impact of their dollar. However, our joy rests in knowing that we have the opportunity, in everything we do, to make a life-changing impact on one person. If we can change the trajectory of one person’s life, heart, and most importantly, soul, we have done our job as an organization.
What matters most to you? Why?
Our “why” matters more to us than anything else. What we do and how we do it will always change to fit the needs of those we are serving, yet underneath it will always be our “why.”
Healing and transformation is our why. We believe that ultimate healing and transformation come through Christ, and we have been called to use the arts as a vehicle to guide others to see His love, grace, and forgiveness.
As mentioned earlier, if we can change the trajectory of one person’s life, heart, and/or soul, that is more precious to us than any accomplishment in the art space.
