Hi, Jameek. Thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, you could tell our readers some of your backstory.
Meet Jameek Fryson, a dedicated loan officer passionate about helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals.
I was born and raised in a small tobacco town known as Mullins, SC, about 50 miles west of Myrtle Beach. There, I learned the importance of God, family, community & education, and the value of hard work and a dollar. I wasn’t born into wealth. It was the complete opposite. I remember working odd jobs from when I was a young boy, varying from fieldwork to selling freshly caught crawfish to pushing carts at Walmart. We didn’t have much, but what we did have, we took care of it, and the family stuck together.
I excelled throughout grade school and had academic scholarship opportunities nationwide. After several transfers, I graduated with a newly born son from Clemson University and became a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist. I married and worked for over 17 years in healthcare at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC. I have always had a deep passion for helping and serving the community’s people, and that passion was fostered through healthcare. Hence the name, The Loan M.D. Eventually, my marriage ended in divorce, and I rebuilt my life and credit. I worked hard to gain knowledge of credit repair and various loan products and lending practices that would benefit me. From life experience, I realized real estate was one of the greatest ways to build wealth. I sat down, set some goals, and learned more about various roles and opportunities in real estate. I decided to find a multi-family property because of the benefits of owning an income-producing property. After securing my first multi-family property, I was hooked. Real estate was my passion, and I decided to embark on a journey as a mortgage loan officer. This would allow me to continue my new passion while bringing a much-needed service to the people of my community. The same community that poured into me and gave me the solid morals and foundation to build upon. This is my opportunity to give back in my backyard while teaching wealth building and homeownership to the people I grew up with and their kids.
I look forward to teaching and helping as many families reach their goals by providing personalized financial solutions. I aim to provide exceptional customer service by listening to clients’ needs, assessing their financial situation, and guiding them through the loan application process with patience, transparency, and expertise. Outside the office, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, and continuously expanding my knowledge to serve clients better. I believe in building long-lasting relationships while being a trusted financial partner for clients on their journey toward financial success.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has certainly been a challenging road. I have dealt with poverty and a multitude of failures along the way. From failed classes to failed health to failed businesses and marriages, I have experienced life and shared my testimony. Life is about lessons and blessings. You are either learning a lesson or reaping a blessing. I was taught that the only failure is the person who fails to try.
