Exploring Life & Business with Connor Sullivan of Tee It Up – Charleston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Connor Sullivan.

Hi Connor, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My name is Connor Sullivan, and I am the COO of Tee It Up – Charleston. I have recently moved to the area with the intention of expanding my family business which was founded in 1995 by my father, Daniel Sullivan. I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2019 with a degree in Recreational Management and have applied that background to various volunteer groups. After two years of living in California, I missed my East Coast home and decided it would be the perfect time to do what I love. The Folly Beach and James Island community have already been so welcoming, and I look forward for what’s to come.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It was very important to me that we integrated our family business into the local community. In Wallingford, where our first location exists, we are an active member in the Rotary Club and make it a point to support our Fire and Police Department, as well as our schools. Building these connections can be intimidating at first if you don’t know the area. I am learning about the City of Charleston daily and constantly working to find new groups and clubs to become active in. This city is full of extremely welcoming people willing to help and I found that even in a short period of time you can create connections by putting yourself out there. As we grow I look forward to continuing to get to know this incredibly diverse and beautiful city I now call home.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Tee It Up-Charleston specializes in screen printing, embroidery, and logo design. We are experts in the business with well over 25 years of experience. Our promise is to deliver a stress free, personalized customer service experience from start to finish. We treat all of our customers like family while delivering quality branded apparel on time and at the right price. Whether you need a logo on a shirt, jacket, backpack, or wine glass, we have you covered!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My father deserves most of the credit for starting Tee It Up LLC but he also made me the man I am today. I have watched his dream create a life for my entire family and it is through his perseverance that I have the privilege of expanding the business now. He has shown me through action that kindness and hard work always pay off, but it’s the community support that will truly help you succeed.
