Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Williams.
Hi Chelsea, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I was born and raised here in Columbia, SC, and attended college at Clemson University, where I obtained a degree in Biological Sciences. During my time at Clemson, I suffered a 3rd-degree burn on my hand which ultimately changed my life forever. I required multiple surgeries and had to attend frequent follow-up appointments so the nurses at Doctors Hospital became my new friends. Ultimately that experience made me want to go back to school to become a registered nurse, so I moved to ATL and pursued my nursing career there.
I worked as an ICU nurse at a Level 1 trauma center and absolutely loved it but that all changed once covid happened. During covid (for 2 years) I started travel nursing but quickly experienced nurse burn-out. I decided to move back home to Columbia and took a break from nursing to become a mommy. While pregnant I wanted to find a way to still work as a nurse but outside of the hospital. I had a good friend in Atlanta who was running a successful Nurse Aide training school and she gave me the idea to start a school in my area. Now here we are!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Whewwww!! Smooth not at all. The road has been very bumpy. I started this business in June of 2021 but did not get state approval and all my licenses until the end of July 2022. It was a lot of hoops I had to jump through but it only made my business structure stronger.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Nursing Unlimited Nurse Aide Training Center?
Nursing Unlimited is a nurse aide training center that prepares students who are interested in becoming CNAs. Our facility has state-of-the-art technology including a VIBE smart board and a simulation lab with a 6-foot manikin. Our program not only trains nurse aides but offers CPR training.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Starting my business was a huge risk. I had to sacrifice a lot mentally and financially. This was a big investment for me but serving my community and making a difference in others’ lives has no price. No pain no gain, you have to take risks to get what you want.
