Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Scolamiero.
Hi Caroline, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved hosting, designing, and creating environments that make people feel welcomed and celebrated. This was my way of expressing creativity and led me to start a business in marketing. After 4 years of owning a social media management and marketing company while my husband played professional baseball, we welcomed our firstborn son, Noah!
At the beginning of 2021, we were planning Noah’s birthday party. We knew we wanted a celebration that gave not only a fun experience but a beautiful one too. We searched high and low for something fun to add that all kiddos could enjoy along with the adults, but kept coming up with cheesy inflatables and dirty kids’ party rentals.
This is where The Cola Bounce House was born. We saw a need for an energy-releasing experience in our community that provides a beautiful look and blank slate to allow creativity to flow and match any event.
In 2022, we grew from one white bounce to multiple styles, colors, and a ball pit, and added a second location: The Greenville Bounce House, all because of the incredible support of our communities. My husband and I are both Greenville natives and knew this was the perfect spot to expand.
Our dream is that partying with us is easy peezy, adds joy to whatever you may be celebrating, and leaves our clients wanting to bounce with us again!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We call this our 2 AM business because I purchased the bounce house on a whim at 2 AM one night when I couldn’t sleep.
I’d say we hit most of our struggles and bumps before we even opened. Everything from insurance to business licenses was difficult because of the nature of our bounce house. It isn’t traditional with closed walls and netting, but also we aren’t a massive company with warehouses and offices like most rental equipment companies.
Since then we’ve just kind of gone with the flow and bumps and carved out our own way in the event industry! Finding employees that have the same values as us has been tough since we keep things very personal with our clients and love forming relationships with customer service as the highest priority.
Overall though, the communities we serve have made this whole journey fun!

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think our industry of event rentals and more specifically luxe party rentals will only continue to grow. People are realizing they are capable of having these magazine-worthy events that are memorable experiences for all without paying celebrity planners and prices!
We plan on adding to our inventory and making The Cola Bounce House and The Greenville Bounce House a one-stop shop for clients looking to plan unique, custom events!
