Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, how did you get started?
I am very proud to own Jackie’s Workstyles & Uniforms. As a veterinarian, I understand how difficult it can be to find the right clothing that fits well, looks great, and allows you to function and move while working. I bought Jackie’s in 2021, and I hope to keep the store’s long tradition of serving healthcare providers strong and vibrant.
Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It has been a challenging road! I acquired the business only a short time after COVID restrictions were softening. There was a lot of staff turnover, and getting inventory during supply chain backlogs took time and effort. I am happy to say supply chain issues are better, although we still have stocking and shipping issues as our manufacturers update systems, and we now have a solid, professional team in place. We have expanded our embroidery capacity by adding an embroiderer and two machines. Our turnaround time for embroidery is usually less than a week. We are happy to stock colors or styles upon the customer’s request. If you don’t see something, ask for it!
We’ve been impressed with Jackie’s Workstyles & Uniforms, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Jackie’s Workstyles & Uniforms is a uniform store that has served Columbia since the 1960s. We stock many name-brand scrubs and serve mostly healthcare providers. We can order just about any uniform for any line of work. So, if you don’t see something in our store, ask, and we can get it for you! We have two skilled full-time embroiderers on site. We can take your logo and advise you on the best placement and colors for your selected apparel.
