Hi Almog, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started with me visiting the Doctor when I was a young man. I relayed to my Doctor that I had a major life stressor and was suffering from severe anxiety. He looked at me with displease and asked ” So what do you want me to do about it” like I was a drug abuser. He didn’t even ask me what caused my stress, how to cope with anxiety, what techniques I could use and he just dismissed me. I had never before seen a doctor for stress and anxiety and when I was at my most vulnerable moment, I was dismissed immediately which worsened my anxiety and stress. I asked myself if I was a doctor, could I do a better job? This started my long journey to becoming a Doctor. Fast forward to today, I opened up Unity Health Wellness Clinic where we are on the cutting edge of unifying the mind-body-spirit where we take a holistic approach to medicine. We specialize in getting to the root cause of stress and anxiety which can be a simple hormone insufficiency, and not just give medicine to mask symptoms. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the decision I made to become a Doctor. We have helped hundreds of patients achieve a high quality of life and is highly rewarding when your patients flourish both mentally and physically.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road due to the fact we don’t take Insurance. The reason is we take up to 1 1/2 hours with our patients which Insurance will not reimburse. This time is crucial, and it is very much important and needed to get to the root cause of illness since all the little details matter. It has been challenging to convey this to potential patients. However, word of mouth has helped us to overcome this barrier.

Our goal at Unity Health Medspa & Wellness is to get you feeling great inside and out. The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
