Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Ramirez.
Hi Alexis, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was interested in this profession since I was a kid as I started shooting mini videos as well as feature-length films when I was just 13 years old. Founded my production company Exiram Productions in 2003. I studied at Lehman College for video production class as a Saturday program in 2005. I directed, produced, and edited my own films such as Werewolves of Stayville, Luperca Returns, Out of Boredom, Hybrid Hazards, and Credits Among Friends.
Along with owning my own company, I’m also a producer and webmaster on a sister company Were-Creature Videos, a streaming video-on-demand website of fantastic video clips and short films which feature a wide variety of female creature transformations. I believe that filmmaking is one of the most beautiful and unbeatable ways can put soul into any story or script. Directing, editing, and producing films is what I actually love, and always try to be consistent in my profession.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Doing short films is easier than a feature film since it takes more time and money.
