Daily Inspiration: Meet Jennifer O’Neill

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer O’Neill.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Jennifer O’Neill. I’m 28 years old and the owner of Jenny O’Neill Photography. I started my business back in 2019. I started with a camera, a book, and zero knowledge. I’m originally from Germany and came to the US in 2020. I started building business relations and tried to get my name out. It’s always scary starting from zero but I made it under the top 3 photographers for Cyber Cities best 2021. Now my business is concentrating on weddings, elopements, and engagements and I am a full-time wedding photographer…

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I believe it’s never easy to build a business from the ground up, but with the right motivation and lots of hard work you can get to the top of the mountain. My main struggle was competing with so many amazing other photographers from the area. And I wouldn’t even call it competing, just being recognized as a newbie in the area.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My number one business goal is to satisfy my clients and give them memories to cherish forever. I personally had the worst wedding pictures and decided the day of our wedding to make a difference and be a wedding photographer that delivers quality pictures and experiences.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
That I am able to be part of my clients most important day in their life. To capture their love story and to give them pictures to look back and to cherish forever. Wedding days are so fast-paced and most of the time my clients don’t remember every little detail of their day. That’s when I jump in and capture every little moment and detail, so they can look back and reminisce!
