Today we’d like to introduce you to Destiny Webb.
Hi Destiny, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The reason I got where I am today is that I’ve always had a passion for modeling and taking pictures and being in front of a camera I started modeling when I was 9 and I was put in modeling classes too and I had an audition for an agency I had headshots and everything! I was very into acting I took classes for that as well with the agency because I knew I was meant to be something bigger.
After 2 years of modeling at a young age, I had just stopped going due to the passing of my father and focused on more things as a kid such as school and making sure my grades were up to par. I created my Instagram in 2014 and would just post silly and fun things when it wasn’t so serious, when I was in high school is when I started going up on Instagram just by taking pictures daily after school and posting them!
Which let me gain more following! I’ve always had a passion for taking pictures and modeling and with the inspiration of Nicki Minaj at one point I did want to be a rapper I wrote my very first song at 10 with my dad and at the age of 15 I lost my dad and it was hard to even continue in modeling and acting after losing a parent at such a young age especially because he was my biggest fan! After high school, I was still very consistent with Instagram and I got signed to the agency I’m with now by my picture quality they reached out waiting to work and we have been working every sense!
I attempted to start a YouTube channel in high school with my boyfriend at the time but it didn’t work out it happened for a reason and it’s God’s Plan! In the further, I plan on having my own channel with more of Life Style, Beauty, and Traveling! I have so much in store with becoming a content creator we learn something new every day and I’m just thankful for how far I’ve come along even though we are not where I want to be yet!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road at all! People don’t understand the time and effort it takes to become a content creator it’s more than just taking a picture and posting it. You have to think about the Time it takes to get a good picture going to different locations, the editing behind the reels, and YouTube videos!
Content creating takes over 90+ hours a week and it’s a proven fact! The struggles I’ve dealt with the most balanced and being consistent. It’s very difficult to balance social media and real life! Being consistent I’ve gotten better I was only posting every 2 months but I at least post every week, we made progress!
Being consistent is one of my biggest struggles it’s hard to be consistent with no results I would say but Without being consistent you won’t see any results at all! Another struggle is Creative Block when you just don’t know what to post anymore is the worst when you have a passion for posting and creating content.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’ve very invested much in content creation and most of my family into real estate and property management. I love being a content creator because it shows more of my goofy side and my personality! I love fashion, putting things together, and just showing my funny goofy side on my social media.
I plan on starting a YouTube to show people more of my personality than what they just see on Instagram and other social media platforms! I love learning more about real estate from my family and property management my grandpa is a big broker in sc and I’ve gone to do evictions with him help him with paperwork and answered the phone for his office.
He always told me you have to work hard for what you want and it’s never gonna come easy but never rush the process or give up just work hard no matter how many times it seems like you taking more losses than wins. I’m very thankful I have a family that supports me with content creating and becoming the best version of myself.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
You never know what could happen when you take a risk so don’t be afraid to try new things, always be down to take a risk because it could put you in a position you never thought you would be in!
