I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. Growing up in a third world country (well as kids we were taught that it was a developing country but 20 years later it is still a developing country and it will be the same in 20 years from now by the looks of where it is headed), we had to work really hard for everything as we did not have the same opportunities and resources many have in developed countries. Fortunately, my parents took great care of me and made sure I was well disciplined and educated as it laid the foundation to my life.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Currently, I work at the Business Analyst for Strom Law Firm LLC. I oversee all the marketing and business development-related work of the company. I am very involved with the in-house events and community outreach programs of the firm as well.
About 8 years I started a new hobby of hiking, chasing waterfalls, and exploring destinations. Over time I was able to build a following (55,000) on Instagram by educating people on unseen destinations, how to get there, where to eat, and give tips of planning trips. Over the last few years, I have been fortunate to work with many local and global businesses, nonprofits, and causes to create awareness, show the world what is out there for you, and how you can make the most out of it.
I also consult small businesses on marketing with a primary focus on search engine optimization, social media marketing, and KPIs. I believe that the small businesses needs to sustain and grow for a community to develop.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
I read a lot of travel magazines and business magazines. I do a lot of research on the internet about different things, read random blogs, watch travel documentaries and movies/shows based on true stories that really help with what I do. When it comes to podcasts, How I built this is one of my favorite podcasts on Spotify.
