Daily Inspiration: Meet Azaria Heredia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Azaria Heredia.

Hi Azaria, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always loved makeup since I was a little girl. Fast forward, I attended cosmetology school, but while in school, I never liked the hair, only the beauty side of it. I worked at a salon for a year and decided to pursue makeup. For a few years, I worked at makeup counters. While working at MAC, I got my brows done by Toya at Hudson beauty. She asked me once if I would be interested in learning how to do brows. I said I had never thought of it, but why not? Toya taught me how to do brows and Brazilians. So in 2017, I started with brows and Brazilians . 2 years went by, and I didn’t know if I wanted to stay in the beauty industry, but with some time off when I got back into it, I fell in love with the beauty of the industry. Honestly, I feel like In 2021 is when my true artistry was born. I would watch videos on Instagram daily on how to perfect my craft. I studied my work and saw what I could do to improve. I’m my biggest critic, but I always strive to give my best. In 2022 I ventured off to open my own business in brows, Brazilians & makeup. I wanted to be the best role model for my daughter and let her know anything is possible. Business is growing, and I’m always getting new clientele. I always tell my clients without you; there would be no me! And I mean that! I’m so appreciative of my regular clients and the ones they refer me to. I love what I do, and it’s only the beginning.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Everything is divine timing. Once I got out of my way, God showed me he had bigger plans for me. The biggest doubt was me. Could I be successful on my own?

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Brow and makeup artist. I specialize in transforming brows, and glam natural makeup looks. I’m probably more known for brows, which I’m so happy about. I’m proud I stepped out on faith and went for what I deserved. What sets me apart from others is my personality. I’m funny, and I love my clients. To make them feel like they can be comfortable with me and that they are in a safe space. With my artistry, I brow map and have a mini brow consultation with my clients before I do anything to them.

We all have different ways of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as living the life destined for me, living on purpose, and giving to others through the work I can do for them.
