Today we’d like to introduce you to WhiteWall Studios. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Founded by three people in production, Max Huggins, Drew Shahoud, and Lucas Williams noticed that there was a deficit of natural light studios in the Greenville area. Drew and Lucas own a production company called BlackBox Media that specializes in hybrid shoots of both photo and video campaigns, in which they use creative spaces constantly. A massive problem they kept running into is that there weren’t any open-concept studios that had natural light as the main light source – nor were there any clean venues that had a modern, simplistic aesthetic for both video and photo capture.
Max Huggins has been in the high-end production space for over 5 years. As a DP and Director, Max has rented studios that were as simple as a small room that can fit one backdrop, all the way to hundred-thousand-dollar LED walls and robotic-arm studios.
In 2021 Max, Drew, and Lucas had the common goal to build a space that supported a large number of photographers and videographers in the area. “We noticed that there were a lot of creatives in the area without a solid studio to shoot in, so we decided to create a naturally-lit space to maximize their creative potential.” Since we launched in 2022, we have seen over 200 photographers and videographers make WhiteWall Studios their studio of choice.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Similar to our prior answer, we have spent a combined 15+ years in the professional content creation industry. While our journeys have all looked a little different – Max, Drew, and Lucas have been professionally involved with the commercial side of videography and photography for clients and companies all around the world.
What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Sometimes simple is better. We created a space that is essentially a blank canvas and allows our clients to make it great.
