Hi Maria, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for sharing your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
My love for photography, believe it or not, began when Instagram was formed way back in 2010. I fell in love with telling stories through those tiny little squares, which prompted me to purchase my first camera in 2012. It was history from there – my love for photography deepened each time I was behind the lens. I moved to Astoria, NY, in 2015, when I delved into editorial/fashion work. That quickly became my passion. I loved creating, putting together shoots, meeting, and working with such talented individuals. When living in New York City, the opportunities are endless. I took advantage of that time, built my portfolio, and made a lot of connections. Some of my work has been featured in wedding magazines and online publications like Carats and Cake, Mith Magazine, Style Me Pretty, Wedding Chicks, Atlas Magazine, Ellements Magazine, MyWedding, Inspired By This, Bridal Musings, Belong Magazine, Grey Likes Weddings, and more! After having kids, I took a different turn with my business and focused more on families, couples, etc. With a passion for storytelling, nothing brings my heart a greater joy than capturing raw, authentic, and beautiful photos for people. With over 12 years of professional photography experience, from editorial work to weddings to families, I loved capturing those sweet, candid moments. I find such beauty in the simple moments — The candid ones. The raw ones. Heck, even the messy ones! My goal and desire is to create memories that move you and bring you back to that very moment in time. I take photos of people that I want to have of me and my loved ones. Why is this so important to me? Because life is so fleeting, but a still capture of a precious moment in life is something we get to cherish for years and years to come, and that is pretty darn special if you ask me! My career is currently focused on Portraits + Branding, Editorial, Families, and Couples. I feel so thankful to pursue my true passion and encourage anyone reading this to take that leap and do the same!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
You must take those risks and chances with anything in life, especially if it’s your passion. Nothing ever comes easy; it’s all a learning process. Beauty and growth in the hard times shape and mold us into who we are to become!

Hey there! I’m so happy and honored that you’re here. I’m Maria! A mother to my two darling children — Addy & Ollie, lovers of Jesus, good coffee, and a sucker for the simple joys in life! It’s the little things for me. We recently traded our city life for country living, which was our best decision. We love country life! I’m a lifestyle photographer who prides in capturing those raw, authentic, candid moments! Photos that you can “feel.” When you truly love what you do and pour your heart into your work, that sets you apart from others.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I have a lot! But one that sticks out would be gathering around the table at night for dinner with my family. I always enjoyed being together in the simple moments and sharing about our days while enjoying a delicious homemade meal.
