Hi L’Shawn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been a dental assistant for the past 5 years. I started out in pediatrics and miss the kiddos daily sometimes, but I wanted a change and moved to cosmetic dentistry. I have loved every bit of it! There’s something special about helping someone else feel confident within themselves and their smile! A lot of people are very insecure with their teeth, it could be due to them not being straight or maybe even just the discoloration of them. I started my studio in hopes of allowing people to gain back the confidence they’ve been missing with their smiles. Having people feel comfortable and confident is my main focus and it never gets old seeing someone light up when they look at themselves and see the amazing results after our treatment session of whitening!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There’s always the challenge of starting out and the what-ifs or is this something people are going to be drawn to. Building a clientele is not always the easiest sometimes but when you put out great results and believe in what you’re doing. I believe success comes along. I’m a true believer, and I believe in my work. So I took a leap of faith and believe everything comes within time for everyone!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I started LBs Brightlywhite Studio to help people in their self-care life and build back confidence a lot of people do not have. I specialize in precessional teeth whitening treatments. In just one visit, we can whiten your teeth, typically 6-8 shades lighter! It’s amazing results, and I always allow the results/ pictures speak for themselves, because it’s truly awesome. The whitening system that I use has zero to known sensitivity ratings! which is amazing because that’s one of the top reasoning people do not want to do whitening is due to sensitivity. That was one of my biggest things when starting out and doing research to find the best system for my clients and also myself. The experience that’ll you’ll receive in my studio is very relaxing, comfortable, and suitable. I am very proud of the results that I put out with every client and also just the overall experience everyone receives. The light up of clients’ faces when they see their own results is amazing and makes me very humble and proud of what I do.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Since I have been in the dental field for a good couple of years, being clean and sanitized at all times is a very big thing! Once Covid hit, we got even more particular than ever with things. I carry everything I’ve learned in my previous years of knowing and learning great sanitation skills with me into my own studio.
Pricing:
- First initial visit (full 1 hr service) $225 (We will get your teeth to your MAX shade that your teeth will allow. Everyone in this visit typically lift 6-8 shades lighter. We will complete 3, 20min sessions within the hour visit.)
- 30 min touch up session $150 (To keep up with the results you have, I recommend coming for a touch-up visit every 3/4 months, depending on your personal home care routines.)
